I met Betty McQuale through the Miami Chapter of Ikebana International. She was one of my first friends through flowers. She was both intelligent and kind, and always willing to learn something new. We both enjoyed making ikebana arrangements, studying with Mieko Kubota, and the other activities of our organization. She will be missed in our group and I extent my deepest sympathy to family and friends .

I knew Betty through ikebana. She was always so gracious and friendly when I came to the meetings. Making flower arrangements together seemed to inspire and delight her. She took a lot of pride in her arrangements and also enjoyed sharing nursing stories from her past. Although I had not seen her for a few years, she was someone I remembered well for being a long time member of our ikebana chapter and her positive attitude. Deepest sympathy to her family for their loss; she will be missed.
