Andrea (“Nena”) Guerra
February 4, 1920-January 28, 2018

Andrea Guerra, also known as “Nena” to her family and friends, passed away peacefully at her home on January 28, 2018 just seven days shy of her 98th birthday. She was born on February 4, 1920, in Lawton, Havana, Cuba, and was one of 13 children of Antonia Alvarez and Hermenegildo Rodriguez. In 1951, she married Francisco Guerra, and together with their two-year-old son, they emigrated to the United States nine years later. They resided in Los Angeles, California, where Andrea gave birth to a daughter, Lydia. In 1971, the family of four moved to Miami, Florida where they settled permanently. A woman of faith, Andrea attended Christ Fellowship Church, where she accepted Christ and was baptized. She had an unparalleled work ethic, strong determination, and love for family. She is preceded in death by her husband, and survived by her two children, George Guerra (Ada) and Lydia Bearham (Charles); grandchildren: George Michael, Daniel Alexis, Mikaela Shelby, and Hannah Alexandra; and great grandchild, Mason George. The family celebrates her life and the amazing legacy that she left.
Visitation and services will be held 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, at Stanfill Funeral Home, 10545 S. Dixie Highway, Pinecrest.
